I had heard on KO that Kennedy was out of the hospital and looking forward to watching the debate. So that was before McCain did his somber mention.

This was really a draw though. Nobody crushed the other. Now we get to hear Bill Bennett and Paul Begala tell us why this statement is wrong.
As a partisan democrat, I am pleased. I give Obama the slight edge for nuance. But I am sure that the lack of nuance with McCain gave him the edge with Republicans. They like black/white.
I think David Gergen should be the only one who gets to critique a debate. He is never sure which party he agrees with at any given time.

KT, I hope you work it out. I was looking forward to this and it was a big disappointment.
I did join one blog and enjoyed it, but missed the old hands. It was too spread out, as you know.
